Receptionist

JOB TITLE:
Receptionist (32-hr a week with Fridays off) GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Greets, instructs, directs and schedules patients and visitors.
Will serve as liaison between patient and medical support staff.
Responsible for all financial transactions and computer input within the practice management system.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Greet patients and notify appropriate personnel of patients' arrival both Check in and Check out Update demographic information in computer.
Manage Paperwork to be picked up file.
Scanning of new patient packets and patient demographic updates Run eligibility for upcoming appointments and complete confirmation calls within two days of the schedule appointment.
Assist patients with demographic paperwork.
Collect and post payments accordingly to patient accounts for co-pays and cash payments.
Answer phones, take and follow-up on messages, route to appropriate personnel.
Provide direct interaction with patients with scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
Enter scheduling changes into computer.
Assure timely completion of forms such as Gateway, Family-Pact, etc.
Share all front office duties with other staff members.
Maintain information in a confidential manner.
Documents all pertinent information in patient's electronic medical record according to Western Sierra Medical Clinic's policies and procedures.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Must be Bi-Lingual Spanish Proven customer service experience with 2
years Computer literate (i.
e.
logging on to computer, usage of keyboard and mouse, familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel).
Ability to type 45 wpm.
DESIRED
Experience:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Familiarity with an electronic practice management (EMR) system.
Recommended Skills Computer Keyboards Computer Literacy Customer Service Finance Front Office Microsoft Excel Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
